Hello you! I'm so glad that you clicked over to this page. My name is Iwona, and I'm solely responsible for everything you see here. Which I hope tickles your fancy :)
I run INKD single-handedly while raising three amazing kids. I'm a mum and a wife, and these are my people, they're my why, my everything.
Furthermore, I was born a maker and creating is an essential part of my wellbeing.
I didn't recognize it until my first kid was born, and it took me a while to embrace it, but now I know that if I don't take time to create, I wither.
There are so many more things that rock my world. I'm a garden designer by profession so both plants and aesthetic design are very close to my heart. I'm nuts about loving up my own house.
I'm a geek. I love old books, old buildings, history and mystery. I despise small talk but give me a deep, involved conversation any day.
I'm a total (quality) horror movie nerd, and a lover of paranormal. A professional ghost hunter wannabe. I'll get there one day, I'm sure of it!
INKDStationery was born from passion of creating, but it was also my rebellion.
INKD is a tribute to the origins of my interest in crafting with paper, which lies in rubber stamping ("inked").
I was a freelance paper crafter for some years before I opened this business. I was subsequently compelled to part with the industry that refuses to fully recognize the skills of designers. If you're so inclined, you can read more about my story here on my old blog.
I was on a journey to regain self-acceptance as a maker ever since, and with a few good ideas, some persistence and a whole lot of practice, it took me to where I am now.
* The paper I use is a 100% post consumer waste recycled fibre, and meets the full compliment of environmental accreditations: it's carbon neutral, chlorine free and acid free.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey!
All my products are lovingly made, using nothing but my own hands and simple tools. Please take a look at my creative process to see how these books are put together.
Kindest thanks to Melissa of Splash of Life Photography for the photos of myself in the studio.
