Do you have a scrap of favourite fabric that you can't bear to part with?
Are you eyeing a gorgeous pattern but you're no seamstress?
I can help you turn it into a lovely keepsake - just pick a journal / album in a size of your choice, send me the fabric and I'll turn it into beautifully handcrafted custom book.

Quilting cotton is best, as well as linen and its blends, canvas / duck and sateen. Stretchy fabric like spandex or jersey, sheer and see-through material and thick furnishing fabric are not suitable for binding.

Please refer to other listings for characteristics of products you're after, then come back here and choose one according to the diagrams attached.
I will use only your fabric, unless arranged otherwise, in instances such as using a different design for the spine.

At least 3x the width and 1.5x the length of the desired cover size (or vice versa) is required to ensure your covers are perfectly bound.

MINIMUM FABRIC SIZE REQUIREMENTS:

A5 JOURNAL: 50cm length x 30cm width (plus another piece 20cm length x 50cm width for the spine if it's a coiled journal)
B5 JOURNAL: 55cm length x 35cm width (plus another piece 20cm length x 55cm width for the spine if it's a coiled journal)
5" ALBUM: 40cm length x 20cm width
6" ALBUM: 50cm length x 25cm width
8" ALBUM: 60cm length x 30cm width

  • The bigger the pattern, the more allowance needed.
  • Make sure that you keep the direction true to the width / length measurements when cutting the fabric with a directional print.
  • Any surplus fabric of reasonable size will be returned to you with the finished product.
  • Please contact me BEFORE making a purchase, if you're unsure of whether you have a suitable type or length of fabric.

After you complete your order, I will email you the address to post the fabric to. It goes without saying, but please make sure that your fabric is clean and free from marks or flaws that will compromise the quality of the final product.
